West Ham United U21s Win Away to A...

Young Hammers are now third with four consecutive victories

Goals from Odubeko, Ashby and Okoflex sealed the win against Arsenal

West Ham United U21s accrued their fourth consecutive Premier League 2 win with an impressive 3-0 victory against Arsenal on Friday afternoon. A brace from Thierry Okoflex alongside a strike from captain Aji Alese saw the young Hammers claim three points against the Gunners.

Kevin Keen's side controlled the game in the first period and reaped their rewards midway through the half. Okoflex collected the ball on the left and drove inside, playing a slick one-two with Kamarai Simon before confidently stroking into the corner.

Okoflex was involved again just before half-time, driving forward from central midfield to set up Alese. The captain took a touch on the edge of the area before rifling home off the inside of the post, giving the young Hammers a 2-0 lead at the break.

The second period followed a similar pattern to the first, with the Hammers dominant in possession. It wasn't long before the lead was increased; Dennon Lewis' excellent run and cross found Okoflex at the back post, who took a touch and calmly slotted into an open goal.

As a result of the win, the young Hammers now sit third in the Premier League 2 Division 1 table, level on points with leaders Fulham. Next up for Keen's side is a home clash against Stoke City at the Chigwell Construction Stadium on Monday 18 October.
