Hundreds of locals gather to watch train derailment
It was a scene of utter chaos as hundreds of locals gathered to watch a train derailment in Coalinga on Tuesday afternoon. The train, which was carrying crude oil, derailed around 1:30 p.m., causing several cars to overturn and spill their contents.
No one was injured in the derailment, but the spill caused a large fire that sent thick, black smoke into the air. The fire burned for several hours, and firefighters were still working to put it out as of Tuesday evening.

"It was like something out of a movie," said one witness, who declined to give his name. "I've never seen anything like it before."
